A 7.0 year (yes, 7.0!!) project has finally been completed.

Some modders have recreated the entire Balder's Gate (and it's expansion) in NWN 2.

As if I actually needed a reason to play one of my favourite games ever again... :-) Now I really do. Check out this review here and download the mod here.

I can see many an hour lost in this one for me.

I downloaded this last night and hope to try it out over the weekend :-)

It looks like it has some decent multiplayer co-op in it too (much better than the Original) - which is niiiiiiiice.

I played this a fair bit over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by how good it is.

The mod itself looks to be huge and has a massive map to traverse and explore with quests coming out of your earholes! The locations are extremely detailed and look excellent. The overall polish of the mod makes it stand up against official campaigns that you have to pay for. It has videos, voice-overs, new creatures, new graphics, new areas, new game mechanics and loads more.

It is a low-level, low magic setting and is also very challenging. It even gave a D&D veteran like me a run for my money :-)

FYI: The character I used was a human variant of this (for easier leveling). You can view the build I used here.

So, if you fancy a challenge give it a go - I am hooked already!

This mod is sodding huge. Been playing for a good 10 hours or so and have barely scratched the surface. Truly a lot of work has gone into it.
