Picked this up yesterday and me had a little punt at it.

It is a bit early to give too much info but it seems like a good little game. Fairly standard run about and collect stuff, craft tools and build a base. The difference comes for the dinosaurs roaming about, these range from little Compsognathus things up to the really big ones with long necks (whatever the fuck they are called).

They walk about doing their own thing, herbivores leave you alone unless you attack them and carnivores try and skull fuck you when they see you. They also deal with their own needs like hunting when hungry and drinking when thirsty.

The dinosaurs can be tamed and you can ride most of them like vehicles (not got to that bit yet).

Also you do poos a lot which make a great noise and there is a button so you can shit yourself.

Finding it fun at the moment but not too sure if it would be entirely to you guys cup of tea.

Sounds good. Any game involving shit has gotta be worth a look. I look forward to continued info as you progress.

Anygame you can shit yourself has to be worh a go.  Does it have dedicated servers?

It does, I checked that first as it would be really shit having people join your game and fucking things up.

That being said, should you guys pick it up at any point and we got to a position where we had done everything, had a load of tame t-rexs milling guarding our base when we are not there and we were all riding raptors, we could let some plebs in and fuck them up.

So are you are running a dedicated server for it then Greg? Or are you just loading up a game whenever you play?

I will hold off on this for now - as previously stated, we have a shit-ton of stuff to play ATM anyway.

Yea good shout, I am not entirely sure you guys will like it yet, will need some more time.

Currently just loading it up as I need it but could run it on a server if needed.

All ran smooth as yesterday.

Also since I cleaned the matted dust out of my CPU heat exchanger and graphics card cooling channels it seems to crash a lot less…..woops.

Running over LAN is one thing, running 24/7 over the WAN is something else entirely.

You should stop letting your cat go to sleep on the heat sink, it won't do it any good.

Sort of lost interest in that one, again it was finding time to sit down and play it really. Need to address that issue really.

Been plugging away at this (mainly because Jen is really enjoying it) and it is good fun. It is far from the best game ever invented but the time old 'collect stuff, build house, get better kit, craft better stuff, build better house' gives you lots to do.

The inclusion of the dinosaurs really makes the game. You can tame them and they can help you with different tasks like:

- The Trike is good for helping gather resource, it can carry a dump load of stuff and help out in a fight.

- The raptors are bad assed but not much good for anything other than scouting and fighting.

- The giant crocodile is great for collecting stuff along rivers as it carry's lots of weight in the water and kicks some when you get in a scrap.


If you guys end up getting it then we would need to put aside some serious time to play it. In truth I think there are other games you guys would enjoy more but this is one to keep in the wings if it gets cheap.

Good to know, TCT. May get it when it is on sale but not currently. As you say, there are others that have priority for me. Eden Star and Empyrion for starters.

Good to know you are having fun in it though... sounds good.
