I had a brief go last night. Some of my initial thoughts:
- Looks very pretty.
- Gameplay-wise, it's a mix between Just Cause, Farcry and The Division.
- Helicopter controls are absolutely dreadful.
- Not sure I am sold on the third-person and cover mechanics yet. Seems like this game would be much better suited to first person.
- Bullets feel like they actually "do stuff" (unlike The Division).
- Some real nice touches for teamwork like the "sync shot", tagging enemies, the drone etc.
- It has "police" - a system very reminiscent of Just Cause, where it gets harder as your wanted level goes up. Encourages stealth play and a tactical approach.
- I think this will be a winner co-op.
- Weapons! There is actually different weapons to unlock with different characteristics.
- Character customization is quite extensive - I can foresee the insanely weird outfits we all end up rocking looking interesting indeed.
Honestly, as a whole I think G-Man was right - this will be a lot of fun. More so, I think, than The Division.

I was playing the game in first person there is a option for on the shoulder view control button i think?

Worth a look/read. The images and explanations may help us with helicopter flying - since it's the most bizarre/annoying/crap control scheme I have ever seen.
Originally posted by expon:I call supreme bullshit on that, G-Man. It's not realistic at all. The Battlefield games knew how to do helicopters. They were not easy or "simplistic" to fly, but they made perfect sense and with practice, were truly a joy to fly. You can spunk over the game all you want, but its helicopter controls are the worst I have ever seen. They are clunky, rigid and make absolutely no logical sense.

I really don't get the hate for the helicopter controls, sure it means you have to think more about flying than simply 4 direction buttons and up/down like other games, but it is 'more' realistic. But then, this isn't a flight sim, so maybe the most simplistic control setup would have pleased the most people.
Are the vehicle controls considered poor too?
